N Hook Any two worsted weight yarns, in the same or coordinating colors Scissors Abbreviations Ch: Chain Hdc: Half double crochet St(s): Stitch(es) Sk: Skip Pattern Notes You will make each stitch while holding the two different strands of yarn. For this scarf I used ‘I Love This Cotton!’ in Black & Ivory. I wound each skein into a ball, then putting each ball in a separate bowl. Doing this made them unroll nicely as I stitched. Pattern To Start: Chain as many chains wide as you like your scarf, plus two. I prefer my scarves more narrow. This scarf’s initial chain was a total of 12. (10+2) Row 1: Hdc in the second ch from the hook& each st across. Row 2: Ch 2, turn; Hdc in each st across. Rows 3+: Repeat row 2 to desired length. Fasten off & weave in ends. |
